At Wellington's free, spectacular Cuba Street Carnival a global mix of music and dance expresses the city's animated cultural diversity.
The carnival opens on Friday night with an outdoor film and continues throughout the weekend with no less than seven stages, buskers, markets, food stalls and other special events. The highlight of the occasion is the illuminated night parade on Saturday.
