As the sun goes down on Mindil Beach in Fannie Bay, head for the Sunset Markets, set out among monsoon vine forest trees and a grove of coconut palms every Thursday and Sunday from late April to October.
A wander among the stalls quickly reveals a huge variety of items on offer, from indigenous and bush art, sculpture, pottery and didgeridoos to clothing, handmade jewellery and bric-a-brac. You can also relax with a massage, have your palm read and your aura scrutinised, or take in some of the live music and performance art.
One thing you won't be able to avoid is the food. The aroma alone is enough to set the stomach rumbling, as stalls prepare delicious cuisine from over 20 countries. Choose from a dizzying selection of Asian dishes, traditional Greek, Italian or South American, or sample a bit of everything. Crocodile, ostrich and barramundi are always on the menu and the region is also known for its delicious tropical fruit.
All this can be enjoyed to the spectacular backdrop of the setting sun as it sinks into the sea.
