Every summer, the winelands around Blenheim in the Marlborough district of New Zealand's South Island open their doors to the public for tutored tastings, gourmet cooking and live music.
The festival, officially only the Saturday, spreads out both before and after, for a three-day spectacular of culinary and vinous excellence in three large marquees near Renwick. Fifty wineries present wines in tastings and workshops led by the winemakers themselves, accompanied by live music and the Fashion in the Vines contest.
