Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is a tract of primary rainforest, 12km outside Singapore. While walking along its well-marked paths, visitors spot exotic birds, monkeys and flying lemurs and spy Singapore's highest point, the 164-metre Bukit Timah Hill.
Singapore is one of only two cities in the world to have a significant area of primary rainforest within its boundaries. Bukit Timah contains more species of trees than the entire North American continent and unique plant life like the insect-eating pitcher plant.
