Roccella Ionica, a small village between Reggio Calabria and Crotone, hosts its sophisticated international jazz festival every August. Concerts are held at the former Minimi convent, the Auditorium and several piazzas and churches.
Along with jazz concerts, which in 2009 share the theme 'Mediterranean noise', an interesting series of seminars is held throughout the week. They include music therapy, music and dance, photography and music lessons given by the performing artists.
