The Pistoia Blues festival presents music in the open air on Piazza Duomo, the main square of the beautiful Tuscan village. Concerts by top international artists have been taking place at the height of summer since 1980.
Among the 18 performances scheduled in 2009 are Heavy Trash, Jon Spencer's latest project (3 July), Michael Burks on 4 July showcasing Iron Man, for which he's received three nominations for the Grammy Award 2009, and Lauryn Hill concluding this edition with an explosion of rap, reggae, soul and R&B.
