Seville presents the Flamenco Biennial (Bienal de Flamenco), with the most respected baile (dance), toque (guitar) and cante (singing) artists performing all over the city.
The 2008 programme featured well-known artists such as singer José Mercé and dancer Sara Baras. Several shows received their world prèmieres that year, such as 4 Noches with Luisa Palicio and José Luis Ortiz Nuevo, and Tres Movimientos by guitarist Pedro Sierra.
