Dublin's St Patrick's Day Festival culminates with the Festival Parade - an impressive display of colour, noise and pageantry and the biggest street party in Ireland.
Over half a million people line the streets of the city, millions worldwide tune in to watch, and 2000 performers from Ireland and around the world participate in the patriotic extravaganza.
The theme for the parade is Glorious - whatever that may mean to the thousands of creative minds behind all the pageants, floats and street theatre groups. The route follows Patrick St, along Christchurch Place, Dame St, Westmoreland St, O'Connell St and finishing on Parnell Square West.
