The new-look Jordan International Rally entails sensational stages in and around the Jordan Valley and within the Rumman forests, providing challenging routes both above and below sea level.
The makeover took place to welcome the FIA World Rally Championship in spring 2008, with the new route tested during the 2007 FIA Middle East Championship.
The most easily accessible viewpoint to catch drivers testing their skills is at the Turki stage 1 and 4, located next to the main Dead Sea Highway, just 1km after the police checkpoint. Here, providing you're an early riser, you can see the spectacle of a high-speed approach to a u-bend, followed by fast acceleration.
