El Garrafón Natural Park's coral reef is only a few metres off Isla Mujeres' southern shore and ideal for first-time snorkellers. Spot shoals of tropical fish and manta rays, walk or cycle along the sea path and swim with dolphins.
Although only a short boat trip from Cancún, El Garrafón seems like a world away in the Mexican Caribbean.
