For the first two weeks of September the city of Murcia comes alive with parades, pageants and folklore during the annual feria. Special celebrations take place in honour of the city's patron saint, La Virgen de la Fuensanta.
Every year there are bullfights, concerts, golf tournaments, competitions, video screenings, traditional games, dinners and plenty of parties.

Smaller festivals are incorporated into the main event, including a pop festival, the Moors and Christians Festival, the Feria Taurina and an International Mediterranean Folklore Festival. If you find the practice of bullfighting cruel, we suggest you give the Feria Taurina a miss.
Event details can change.
Please check with the organisers that the event is happening before making travel arrangements.
