The fighters and sprinters are looking to make up for lost time on this 188km stretch between Pau and Castelsarrasin. A hilly stage, it's the perfect leg to launch attacks, so should be an exciting one to watch.
Catch a glimpse of the snow-capped mountains at Pau, a great base from which to explore the Pyrenees. A stylish and elegant town, it was once a favourite haunt of wealthy English and Americans, who built the Boulevard de Pyrenees - a wide and scenic promenade with fancy shops and great views. It also leads up the magnificent Chateau de Pau, famous for being the birthplace of Henri IV and holiday home to Napoleon III, who restored it to its current glory.
