Pisa's Anima Mundi Festival presents a month of free sacred music concerts. Performances are held in both the charming Piazza dei Miracoli and the Cloister of the Cathedral Museum with its unique vantage point looking directly onto the Leaning Tower.
English conductor Sir John Eliot Gardiner is the festival's artistic director for the fourth year, and both his orchestras, the English Baroque Soloists and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, are among the musicians performing in 2009.
