The Savannah St Patrick's Day Parade celebrations are huge, the second largest in the United States. With an estimated annual turnout of 400,000 the parade is the centrepiece of the festivities which conclude with a number of all-night parties.
The Savannah St Patrick's Day Parade begins at the corner of Gwinnett and Abercorn and makes its way up Abercorn to Broughton, then heads east to East Broad, north on East Broad and left on Bay. In front of City Hall, it heads south on Bull Street, finishing at Harris Street. The atmosphere is electric as the city of Savannah, Georgia, turns Irish for the day.
