The World Rowing Championships move to Poznan in Poland for the 2009 event. With 75 medals at stake, more than 1000 athletes compete while thousands of supporters add to the excitement.
The international regatta is one of the highlights of the rowing calendar. First held in 1962 in Lucerne Switzerland, the week-long event includes events for athletes with disabilities.
