Did you miss the Oktoberfest? If so, the Bremen Freimarkt could be just the ticket. The city pulls out all the stops for this huge, two-week fair and folk festival, held on and around its historic squares.
With more than 950 years of tradition, the event is known locally as the "fifth season". An enormous funfair, non-stop live music, dancing, drinking, street entertainment and general merrymaking set the scene.
