Every year, Brisbane celebrates the run-up to 25 December with special Christmas celebrations on the South Bank. In 2008, the theme is Christmas Around The World, designed to reflect the city's multicultural population.
Visitors are spoilt for choice at the Christmas Around the World celebrations. Watch time-old Christmas films on the Suncorp Screen, laugh and jeer at the pantomime or play on arcade games and fairground rides at the Wonderland Carnival. Then hop aboard a festive river cruise, while pretty fireworks whoosh and squeal overhead.
Don't miss the concert series, a highlight of the Christmas Around the World programme. Performances include carols by the Queensland Youth Choir and kids' favourite The Boogie Woogies.
