The Ardia is a ritual horse-race that takes place in Sedilo, in the Oristano province. Dozens of Sardinian horsemen throw themselves into a crazy race in honour of Saint Costantino, a whirl of devotion, dust, sun, fiery horses and competition.
The race is directed by a leader who, with the support of two collaborators, has to resist being overtaken by the other riders. It takes place in the area surrounding the church of San Costantino, in a beautiful setting and with an impressive crowd.
