Golden Gate Bridge
Millions of people visit the iconic Golden Gate Bridge each year and walk along the entire 2.7km-long span to take in the beautiful views of the city and bay. Wrap up though as it can be windy…
My favorite (US spelling) driving tour of San Francisco is to take people first to Coit Tower,
overlooking the entire city, then wind down through Pacific Heights and over to SeaCliff (just to the
west of the Golden Gate Bridge), for a view of some amazing mansions and beautiful views of the bridge.
Then drive over the bridge to the Marin Headlands and head up to the Golden Gate lookout, for one of the
most stunning views anywhere. Either stay a while in Marin and explore Sausalito, or zip back over the
bridge for a meal at Greens, perhaps the best vegetarian restaurant in the world, with a gorgeous view
of the bay. Finally, Pier 23 is a old style Jazz Club right on the bay, the perfect way to to end your day.
